About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing the data and reporting infrastructure that supports data-driven decision-making within the supply chain organization.

You will act as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring high data quality, scalable architecture, and reliable reporting solutions. This is an on-site role within an international working environment.

What Will You Do?

As a BI Lead / Business Data Engineer, your responsibilities include:

• Designing scalable data architecture (e.g., bronze, silver, gold layers).
• Building and maintaining data pipelines and data models using modern data tooling.
• Ensuring data quality, governance, security, and performance standards.
• Developing and maintaining dashboards and reporting solutions aligned with business needs.
• Leading and coaching a small team of data engineers.
• Collaborating closely with supply chain, finance, IT teams, and external partners.
• Translating business requirements into technical data solutions.

Who Are You?

We are looking for a professional who:

• Has 3+ years of experience in BI or data engineering, ideally with leadership experience.
• Lives one hour travelling distance of Bergen op zoom
• Has strong expertise in data platforms, data modeling, governance, and BI tools.
• Has hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and modern data frameworks.
• Possesses excellent communication skills and can effectively bridge business and technology.
• Feels comfortable working in an international environment.
• Experience in a supply chain or manufacturing environment is preferred
