Within the organization, you’ll work on applications that make the energy market more transparent and help drive sustainability. The software is complex and plays a central role in managing and analyzing energy data. As a Software Test Engineer, you ensure that new and existing functionalities run smoothly—from frontend to backend.

You’ll be the key player in the testing process: for the time being, you’ll be the only tester within your team. This means you’ll have a great deal of freedom and responsibility to further professionalize the testing process.

• Create, execute, and document test plans and test cases.

• Test complex backend processes and data-intensive applications built in Python.

• Set up and improve test automation (about one-third of your work).

• Contribute to long-term test strategy and quality assurance.

• Collaborate with developers, a business analyst, and a product owner in a multidisciplinary team.

• Identify opportunities for improvement in the development and testing process.

• Actively contribute to the further professionalization of the testing domain within the organization.

Wie ben jij

• You have several years of experience as a Software Tester or Test Engineer.

• You are familiar with test automation and have a solid understanding of backend testing.

• You have strong analytical skills and can quickly grasp complex domains.

• Experience in a domain-heavy industry (such as energy, finance, or healthcare) is a plus.

• You are independent, communicative, and take ownership of your work.

• You thrive in an environment where not everything is set in stone and your input is valued.

• You have a good command of English; Dutch is a plus but not required.
